From the Candle Café cookbook
Makes 2 to 2 ½ cups
1 pound silken tofu
1 head of garlic, peeled
¼ cup sesame tahini
¼ cup shoyu or tamari soy sauce
Pinch of salt
1 cup of water
Blend all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. Transfer to a saucepan and cook for an hour over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Serve warm over pasta or vegetables.
Use a deeper pan than you think you need—it splashes as it boils!
I serving = ½ cup. Per serving: 128.8 calories, 7.8 grams protein.
